May 04 - The team has successfully completed their acclimatization expedition to the Lhotse Face within the Everest Massif, where Camp 3 is situated. All members are now preparing to descend to base camp to recuperate before embarking on their summit attempt. Well done to everyone involved!

May 2 - David, a member of camp 2, shares an update about their serene campsite, nestled away from bustling traffic. The camp offers a breathtaking view dominated by the imposing presence of the Lhotse face above. The previous day's weather, characterized by a relentless 50kmph wind that whipped through the tents, creating a constant roar. Today, however, the atmosphere is notably more tranquil, prompting the team to embark on a higher ascent for additional acclimatization.

May 2 - the team finds themselves greeted by a sunny yet windy day. While some members remain at campsite 1 for a well-deserved rest, others have gathered at campsite 2. Discussions buzz around the timing for advancing to camp 3, with considerations of weather conditions weighing heavily on their minds. In the meantime, Sherpas diligently prepare the next campsite, bracing for potential challenges posed by the persistent winds. They remain hopeful that the wind will soon relent, paving the way for further progress.

April 30 - the sun is shining brightly as we prepare for our next steps on Everest. A portion of our team is gearing up to ascend to Camp 2, while others are opting for an additional day of acclimatization at Camp 1. Join us as we embrace the journey up the Western Cwm, soaking in the breathtaking scenery and the thrill of the climb!

April 29 - David, a member of camp 1, shared insights about the dynamic nature of the ice fall route, which undergoes annual adjustments due to the movement of ice from the Khumbu Glacier. This year's route entails a winding path, occasionally descending before ascending once more. David personally contemplates a more direct ascent. Despite the challenging conditions, including gusty winds, the team arrived at staggered intervals, appreciating a well-deserved rest amidst the sunny yet blustery weather. Amidst this environment, they marveled at the breathtaking panoramic views, nestled within a majestic amphitheater of towering mountains.

April 29 - the current weather conditions are favorable, providing an excellent opportunity for the team members to relax at Camp 1. Additionally, a group of Sherpas has ascended to establish Camp 2.

April 28 - As of today, our expedition is making progress ascending through the icefall. A portion of our team, along with our Sherpa guides, have successfully made it to camp 1, while others are still in the process of climbing. The icefall presents greater challenges this season, yet it remains within our capabilities. Fortunately, we're blessed with favorable weather conditions, characterized by sunshine and moderate winds. We extend our sincerest wishes to all for a safe and prosperous journey for ascent!

April 27 - Hi this is David , we’ve had an early dinner at base camp after a day of packing gear for the higher camps . It’ll be a chilly midnight rise first us and then on up the ice fall to camp 1 hopefully in the sunshine.

26 April - I embarked on a captivating journey, immersing myself in the breathtaking landscapes. I traversed ridges, descended to the serene Dudh Khosi river for a delightful lunch, and passed through a checkpoint manned by the Nepal Army. As I ascended a significant hill, I reached the renowned Tengboche monastery, where devoted monks offered their prayers amidst awe-inspiring views of Everest. Later, I trekked to Pangboche village, nestled at the base of the majestic Mt. Ama Dablam. The evening concluded with a satisfying feast of yak steak, accompanied by fresh vegetables, local potatoes, and homemade garlic soup.

April 26 - Hey there. Following the puja festivities, we decided to take a well-deserved rest day, although it wasn't without its share of action. We spent part of the day honing our ladder skills, gearing up for the challenges of traversing crevasses higher up the trail.

Today unfolded with a mix of activities. While a group of us embarked on a seven-hour trek to Kala Patthar, a spot renowned for its stunning panoramas of Everest and Lhotse, my friend Roxanne and I stumbled upon an unexpected scene halfway through our journey. At an altitude of 5300 meters, we witnessed an American couple exchanging vows, a truly remarkable sight. Strangely enough, they declined our invitation to join the reception festivities!

On April 23rd - David reporting! Yesterday, we undertook a brisk acclimatization hike to Pumori's elevated base camp, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Today, we celebrated a significant Puja ceremony. Luckily, the weather remained favorable, allowing the gentle resonance of Buddhist chants from the Lama to fill the air. After the religious rituals, we joined a cheerful Sherpa gathering, enjoying drinks and camaraderie amidst the towering peaks at 5300 meters above sea level—a truly memorable experience.

On April 21st, David here! It was a splendid day at base camp today. Tenji arranged some ropes on the ice pinnacles below for us to practice ascending and descending fixed lines. We enjoyed a leisurely afternoon and are eagerly anticipating the culinary delights that are sure to emerge from the kitchen.

On April 17th, David here! We've finally arrived at Lobuche, our last overnight stop before reaching base camp. The weather has been consistently favorable, with precipitation occurring only in the late afternoon and evening after we've completed our day's trek. Today offered breathtaking views to relish. Everyone is in good spirits and eagerly anticipating our arrival at base camp tomorrow.

On April 15th, Pangboche greeted us with glorious sunshine as we began our day. We embarked on a brief walk up to the monastery for a puja (blessing) ceremony, although filming was not permitted. Afterwards, we continued on for a few hours to reach the Valley View guest house in Dinboche, situated at an altitude of 4400m. Remarkably, we've been fortunate enough to avoid any rain showers during our trek so far.

On April 14th, we experienced heavy rain yesterday afternoon and throughout the night, although the sound on the corrugated roofs inside seemed more intense than the actual rainfall outside. Fortunately, the weather has cleared up for a beautiful morning, offering us views of fresh snow covering the surrounding mountains. Hopefully, this pleasant weather will persist as we embark on our trek up to Pangboche. David

On April 13th, this is David checking in. We're wrapping up our final days in Namche Bazaar. It's an excellent spot for acclimatization, relaxation, and, of course, indulging in the well-stocked outdoor shops. Who can resist the allure of an outdoor shop? In fact, there's no shortage of ways to part with your hard-earned cash here, from upscale bakeries to alpine-style restaurants and even an Irish bar. Rumor has it that Owen and his dad have become regulars there.

On April 11th, David here, currently seated with the team at the Hilltop Lodge, enjoying fantastic views overlooking Namche Bazaar. Luckily, we avoided the rain during our trek up here. Tomorrow, we're planning a rest day with a brief acclimatization session.

On April 11th, we had a delightful and laid-back evening at the Sonam Lodge. With fewer guests around, we had the luxury of spreading out and indulging in hearty meals and conversation. The lodge exudes tranquility, with the soothing sound of the river below lulling us to sleep. This morning, we were bid farewell with a touching ceremonial scarf presentation from the owners—a lovely gesture to start our day.

April 10 - This morning, we embarked on a scenic flight up to Lukla airport. Despite its notably short runway, our landing was smooth. From there, it was a relatively brief walk along the Dudh Koshi river course to reach the tea house in the next village, Phakding.
