What’s the difference between Everest and K2?

Everest is highest and busiest, most easily climbed from the Nepal side, also Tibet side, in April and May, although you can also go in September October. Base Camp Trek and climbs of smaller surrounding peaks can go in all months too. The weather on Everest is pretty good. Our leaders such as Dan Mazur, with British, European and American leaders, and expert Sherpas, have led 12 successful Everest expeditions. Also on Everest we offer the Camp 3 Training Climb, with an inexpensive quick chance to learn about high altitude climbing to 7000 metres / 23,000 feet, and if you feel well, carry on to the summit. Mount Lhotse, Everest’s sister peak, can also be added on or climbed on its own affordably.

K2 is a bit lower, definitely less busy and harder. K2 is climbed from Pakistan’s incredible Karakoram national park during June, July and August with Climbs of nearby easy Broad Peak, Gasherbrum, and Treks to K2 base camp, Gondogoro La, and the fine easy trekking peak of Pastore. Our leadership team, led by Dan Mazur, with top Sherpas, put the first Briton and some of the first Americans on the summit.

What is your dream summit? High mountains are calling you to join our friendly teams of men and women of all ages and abilities, strong British, American and European leaders and amazing Sherpas for ascents of Everest, Broad Peak, K2, Lhotse, as well as 7000 metre peak training climbs, Ama Dablam, where we are offering a NEW Spring Ama Dablam Expedition in April in addition to our normal November climb. Team memberships are still available, but our permits are filling up as we head into the New Year!

Recent News : This year our members reached their Mount Everest (12 members and 15 Sherpas on the summi in 2022) and 8000/7000 metre summit goals, or enjoyed accessible training climbs on the highest peaks in the Himalaya and Karakorum-K2 (10 members had a fantastic K2 trip in 2022).
