This past April and May I led our Mount Everest Nepal ascent and 100% of my team reached the summit in all safety. On the Tibet side of Everest, led by Himalayan veteran Arnold Coster, we had the highest success rate of any team, with 11 out of 14 members and 12 Sherpas reaching the top! IN FACT, our Nepal and Tibet Everest teams met each other on the summit on the 23rd of May after not seeing each other for over 40 days since departing Kathmandu. Back to Top

5. 8000 METRE PEAKS: Try your hand at our "8000 metre / 26,000 foot high peak program" including Mount Cho Oyu (6th highest in the world) every April and September. Last week we returned from a 100% summit success rate of Cho Oyu in Tibet, located near Everest, considered to be the world's easiest of the 8000 metre, 26,000 foot high mountains, and the best possible preparation for climbing Everest. Mount Lhotse (4th highest) in April. On the same climbing route as Mount Everest in Nepal we experienced 100% summit success last May. Mount Shishapangma (14th highest) in September.

These peaks are amazing, very beautiful, very high, and provide an ideal proving ground for those people with Everest aspirations.

RECENT NEWS: By way of introduction my name is Dan Mazur and I am a Mount Everest expedition leader for SummitClimb and a basecamp walk leader for Summit Trek. How are you spending October so far? Out walking in the forest? Skiing early season powder? Rock climbing and enjoying the beaches? Visiting the pub or café with family and friends? Or perhaps you are watching some of the exciting international rugby, cricket, and local football club matches?

I am writing to you from Kathmandu where we are bustling around, picking up excited Ama Dablam, Baruntse, and trekking peak climbing and walking members at the airport, checking their equipment, then taking them on shopping forays for cheap deals on good quality equipment and clothing at one of Kathmandu's more than 100 outdoor and climbing shops.

I have just returned from a very successful expedition to Cho Oyu where we experienced 100% summit success. This October and November I am leading our Ama Dablam expedition, Island Peak climb, and Everest basecamp walk. Our Mera Peak/Baruntse expedition is also heading out for the trails so a lot of pictures and news will be coming in over the next few weeks. In December-February we are going to Aconcagua which I plan to lead before heading to Everest next April for our exciting 2014 season of summit, training climb, and basecamp walking adventure.

Please read about all of the recent exciting news of our walking and climbing expeditions at www.SummitClimbNews.com & www.SummitTrekNews.com .

I am in contact with our office right now organizing our autumn trips, so please contact me now on the phone in the UK at (+44) (0)7810375400, in the US at 360-570-0715, on Skype at dan.mazur8848 , email: danielmazur@summitclimb.com . We take pride in offering a top notch expedition. All of our trips are led and organized by Dan Mazur, 9 time Everest climbing leader, as well as our team of American leaders who are carefully selected from only the highest qualified, friendly, very experienced expedition experts.

Our top climbing sherpas are award winning with more than 5 Everest ascents each. You will find our Sherpas to be the most friendly, technically trained, helpful, hardworking, loyal, and kind you will ever meet. All of our sherpas are technical masters and able to fix ropes and climb safely using proper climbing techniques and equipment.

Our cooks are well trained and make three delicious meals (plus snacks) each day. Our food is superb, with fresh local produce and ingredients being constantly resupplied to our team on a daily basis. The food on our expeditions is served by trained waiters and the hygiene in our dining rooms and kitchens is immaculate. We always have boiled hand washing water, soap and clean towels available to all staff and members. By the way, our team dining tents are very comfortable, insulated and well heated, with excellent tables and chairs.

We have full hot shower facilities and our members are able to take one each day. Tents are top notch, high quality 4-season tents. Each member may have their own tent in basecamp. Climbing equipment is strong, reliable and plentiful. We fix and check all our own ropes, anchors, slings, etcetera. Communications systems work well, including plentiful walkie talkie radios, satellite telephones and satellite email systems. We provide delicious high altitude food so you can eat three nutritious meals each day with plenty of hot drinks, as it is very important to stay well-nourished and hydrated at altitude. Trips include high quality clean, comfortable, and luxurious Kathmandu hotels for FREE in the price of our expedition. That means two nights at the beginning of the trip and 2 nights at the end of the trip are our gift to you.
