End of Season Sale Now On - Everest and Friends Climbing Expedition News -- 7 Summits Peaks and Paths Autumn 2013 Newsletter.
Hello Mountain Friends,
I hope you are well and enjoying the last days November? This is Dan Mazur writing to you from sunny and warm Kathmandu, Nepal, with wonderful views of the high Himalayas towering above this lush green valley.
I am a Mount Everest expedition leader for SummitClimb and SummitTrek and involved in volunteer projects with the Mount Everest Foundation for Sustainable Development. At the moment we are celebrating our team's success and good fortune in 2013 while planning exciting adventures for the rest of the year and 2014.
First, the good news: 2014 EXPEDITION SALE NOW ON: FIVE PERCENT DISCOUNT FOR ALL TRIPS PAYED IN FULL PRIOR TO 31 DECEMBER, 2013.
RECENT NEWS - ANOTHER SAFE AND SUCCESSFUL YEAR:
During 2013 I led our fun and successful team of men and women of all ages to the summit of Everest, with all members and Sherpas reaching the top, for a 100% success rate. Our Everest training climb was a grand achievement as the members reached camp 3 on the South Col side and the North Col on the Tibet side. Our Everest basecamp treks were super fun. Our Mount Elbrus Team enjoyed this classic 7-Summit, which is quite often the "7-Summiter's" first encounter with snow climbing. We had an exhilarating Island Peak expedition and Everest View Glacier School as lovely views and bright warm sunshine greeted us on the summit. Our Cho Oyu team summited successfully and our Sherpas fixed much of the route. Our Mera Peak group worked together well to achieve success and our Baruntse team was the only one so far this year to climb atop this remote summit. As we speak, our Ama Dablam members are going for the summit of Asia's most famous, rock, ice, and snow mountain, technical but readily climbable on well fixed safety ropes. Back to Top
If they succeed, our 2013 climbs, treks, and expeditions will have achieved a 100% successful and safe season. We wish to thank all of the leaders, Sherpas, members, families, colleagues, sponsors, and friends who made this possible. To see more please go to www.SummitClimbNews.com and www.SummitTrekNews.com

CHARITY/NON-PROFIT NEWS: Our team gathered water quality samples in villages near Everest basecamp. We are working with a special laboratory that identifies trace amounts of caffeine and ibuprofen in order to track human effects on water supplies. This is all part of a quest to improve the treatment of waste from Everest basecamp. Also a team of licensed engineers surveyed Nepal's oldest convent, with an eye to rebuilding this historic landmark, located in the shadow of Mount Everest.
