April Greetings from SummitClimb, SummitTrek, and the Mount Everest Foundation

Greetings Mountain Enthusiast

I hope all is well and that you are having a good 2014 so far. Please get in touch and tell me all about what you have been doing and your plans for the rest of the year.

My name is Dan Mazur and I am an Everest walking and climbing leader working for SummitClimb and SummitTrek. I have led 10 Everest expeditions to the summit of our world's highest peak, and am currently leading my 11th.

Our spring Everest Nepal and Everest Tibet summit expeditions, Lhotse climb and Everest Training Climbs have just commenced. Our Cho Oyu team will be heading out here soon also. We are lucky to have some really great teams of men and women of all ages with excellent leaders, top Sherpas, fine food and good equipment.  We also have teams trekking to Everest basecamps and the Everest training schools are going for their goals.

Today our teams on the South side woke up to gorgeous views of Ama Dablam, Everest, Lhotse, and Nuptse and after a delicious breakfast and some repacking, we walked for 20 minutes to upper Pangboche village where we visited the high lama of Pangboche, named Lama Geshe. He blessed all of the members of our trekking and climbing expedition and all of our Sherpas too.

I am also pleased to report that the teams arrived safely to Everest Base Camp (Tibet) on the North side on Monday 14 April. They have spent two nights in EBC resting and acclimatizing.

I encourage you to view our progress as we go for the summit and walk to the highest peaks in the world over the coming weeks. We are anticipating a lot of excitement from our teams. For more information and to watch the news as it comes in from our teams, please go to www.SummitClimbNews.com & www.SummitTrekNews.com, where we will be posting frequent updates. Thank you very much! Back to  top
