LECTURES
Our leaders, including Daniel Mazur, are interested to make a charity-fundraising lecture tour throughout the world during January and February of 2007. To suggest a venue for the show, please email: info@SummitClimb.com and HimalayaTrek@earthlink.net

Exciting climbing photos, videos, and stories from the highest mountains in the world. At the lecture. A dynamic presenter and the audience, getting involved. A photo taken along our service trek. Elselien is showing a photo she just took to these local women, surprised and excited; unaccustomed to seeing photos of themselves (J Vavruska).
Exciting stories of trekking in the Khumbu
valley.
Crossing a bridge under rhododendron forests.

team in basecamp (DL

Please let us introduce you to Daniel Mazur who presents a very exciting show, and we appreciate your thoughtful consideration in our sixth year of raising funds for what we believe to be two very worthy charities.
In January and February of 2007, we are organizing a series of captivating charity live-performances, featuring video, slide/diapositive, digital and audio illustrated lectures about Himalayan mountain climbing on some of the world's classic mountains such as Everest and K2, as well as new and untouched routes on 7500 and 8000 metre peaks such as Gasherbrum and Mustagata. The presenter is Daniel Mazur, climber of 7 of the world's fourteen highest "8000 metre peaks" including Everest and K2.
There is truly something for everyone in these shows, with exciting climbing, trekking, exotic landscapes, fascinating cultures, and interesting discussion about best practices in these fine mountains of Pakistan, Tibet, India, Nepal, and Central Asian Republics. Daniel has presented in more than 43 venues previously to a wide variety of audiences, including clubs, shops, schools, companies, etcetera.
A bit more about the two charities:
1. The Mountain Fund, working to help mountain peoples around the world.
2. Mount Everest Foundation for the Sustainable Development of Nepal and Tibet, which builds schools and hospitals and environmental projects to help poor Sherpa families in Nepal and Tibet..
To learn more about these, you may wish to "click" on the "charities" button at the top of the page.
WE NEED YOUR HELP: Would you please assist us by making suggestions as to charity non-profit fundraising possibilities, promotional strategies, likely venues, as well as audiences. We hope to organize a selection of dates throughout the world for these colorful 80 minute live multi-media presentations.
Do you know of any group, club, shop, business, or other organization which might be interested? Please get in touch!! please email: info@SummitClimb.com and HimalayaTrek@earthlink.net

Here is what people are saying:
Ian says: "I just wanted to say a huge thank you for your efforts last night. It was
the best attended and most applauded talk ever hosted at the club. Everyone learnt something. A nice thing for me was hearing one novice say 'I'm going to climb that one day' ...."Veronica says: "It was great to hear your lecture and it really opened my eyes to what mountain climbing is all about! :) I loved the slides, particularly the sun rise and the idea of seeing the curvature of the earth. All in all a fantastic evening."
Rick says: "Thank You for the Great Presentation. Mary Lou and I thoroughly enjoyed hearing about your adventures. You really had some memorable ones. I'm glad you survived them. It's times like those that give you an appreciation of the easy life we have while at home. And the easy life at home makes us appreciate roughing it on the mountains. Having been to some of the places you showed pics of, I really enjoyed and related to your presentation. Just hearing those yak bells again was memorable."
Julia and Pete say: "We both enjoyed your talk a lot - thought you did a good job of communicating something about your experiences (rather than just 'we did this and then we did that'). I was impressed with the multi-media set up too."
Henry says: "On behalf of the members of the Alpine Club I would like to thank you for your fine audio-visual presentation about some of your ascents of 8000m peaks as well as your wish to help your friend's schools charity. On thinking over your talk, I am not sure if I am more in awe of your climbs or your mastery of the projectors; either way it made for a memorable lecture which we much appreciated. I hope the raffle proved worthwhile and your charity benefits a bit."
Do you know of any places anywhere in the world where we might present our lectures during November and December of 2005 and January, February and December of 2007? Please get in touch!! please email: info@SummitClimb.com and HimalayaTrek@earthlink.net
